City Medical Practice - Dr Vesna Savic

As I have just arrived in Sydney and did not have a regular GP, Dr Vesena was reccomended to me by a very reputable Naturopathic clinic in Sydney. The Medical centre is located in a gorgeous and stately sandstone building in the CBD and the inside is modern and immaculately clean, reception was friendly & professional (rare these days)and made it easy for me to make an appointment. Dr Vesena was very well spoken, and showed a lot of care and consideration towards me. In the two appointments I have had with her she was always professional and considerate and never rushed. As well as answering all of my questions clearly, she arranged to have some tests done that had never been suggested to me in the past (even by specialists) and she was able to give me a lot of important insight into my health. I was so surprised that a medical clinic of this high standard would bulk bill and I will definitely be going back. I would highly recommend this medical clinic to anyone looking for a great doctor.

Marc K...BEST CLINIC in Sydney CBD. I have visited this Practice on many occasions, always received the best service & treatment, but what's great is, that i've always been BULK-BILLED.., not like some other places in CBD,..once you've presented a valid Medicare Card, you no longer have to worry about splashing around your money..all visits are taken care of by Medicare!!!..It's obvious though, that some charges do apply for patients having no Medicare Card, which is pretty much same like anywhere else in the World..I highly recommend this practice to all patients! I had a great experience with Dr Vesna. I waited only 10 minutes! She was very friendly and compassionate. She took her time to hear my problems and gave me good advice. The staff are also quite pleasant. Its really convenient for me that its close to Wynyard. I will definitely be coming hear in the future.

Absolutely apauling service. i felt as though i was ripped off and that the doctor was very dismissive and obnoxious towards my "medical needs".Upon leaving this uncharming, pitiful medical practice I felt more ill than when I arrived. the blatant abuse of the bulk billing Medicare system appalled me. doctors here seemingly assume that as patients are getting the service 'free' they couldn't care less about the service or level of care. the fact you don't sign a Medicare form at the end of a consultation also concerns me, who knows what (time based) item number they are charging Medicare for consultations. As a tax payer i think we deserve more. i think Medicare would be horrified to know what there paying for here. I wouldn't want to know how many patients they see a day. its horrifying.

Long waiting time, there is no point in making an appointment. You make one and end up waiting 50 minutes anyways. On top of that. the majority of Dr's here don't care V or have any more knowledge than what is available on google. So many times have I been told, can you come back , at the end of the day because she wants to leave early. For example - A female doctor here told me that I had a medical condition that I did not without even opening the results of a test, it was only when questioned that she bothered to open the test results. Upon telling me that I had something else, I asked if there was anything I could do to improve this condition. She said "No". I then said - "but i've read on the internet that you can do x, y and z" she said "oh yeh that is true". How can you go from - there is nothing you can do , to oh yes you can do that. I then asked if i should go to a specialist or have a follow up appointment - to which she said hmmm no you don't need to unless it happens again and hmm you can come back in two years. I asked for a referral to a specialist and have since recieved a dianosis. As she is the referring doctor, the specialist obviously sent a report back to her as to the diagnosis. She then rings me up for a follow up appointment with her. FOR WHAT !!!!? too late - i have received my diagnosis and wouldn't have unless I had pressed to see the specialist. I will not go back here to be traumatised, not receive any medical advice and so she can get fees. I don't think so. The cost of seeing the specialist and getting the tests done was almost as much as it costs to see her. I would not reccomend coming here.
