Cobb & Co Cottages

This was a nice stay and very comfortable and its location just off - but a short walking distance (2 mins) to the main street of Penola and the wonderful Petticoat Lane was very convenient. Our bed was average however beyond that it was very comfortable for a couple or two. It had everything for an overnight stay - coffee, breakfast, etc. and it's like walking into someone's home. If you're looking for a place to stay that has a more historic theme, keep in mind that locals we met said this place was only built in the past 20 years so it is not a historic cottage. There are other places nearby dating to the late 1800s with decor and furnishings from the early 1900s, fireplaces, etc that are just gorgeous. So, if you like modern in an historic street, stay here, if you want a historic cottage, don't - go elsewhere.

Most well appointed place we have ever stayed. It's like walking in to someone's house. Just around the block from the main street, the location is magnificent. Bed was extremely comfortable, kitchen has everything you need to cook a full breakfast, including bacon and eggs in the fridge. Bathroom was clean and bright and the spa is a nice touch. There's a nice big TV and DVD player (as well as some DVDs) which is good to relax in front of after a long drive. You do have to pick up the key from the flower shop in the main street and it would be nice to be able to book online, but we would definitely stay again.
