Breakfast at Cocoa Moon Cafe was the stable scrambled eggs on toast with bacon. This was delightfully differentiated by content and presentation. The dish came with some sliced avocado, which was a nice surprise, the tomato's were cherry and had been grilled on the vine, the bacon was rindless, and the eggs had some fresh sprigs of various herbs throughout and on top. A small flower on each plate cemented an upmarket feel. Tea (English breakfast) and coffee (latte) were well made. The latte was mid strength, very smooth and presented in a red take-away shaped ceramic cup. Decor was attempting to achieve the same polished feel as the food but just couldn't quite get there. The elegant chairs, display cases, and table accessories were let down by what looks like pretty standard school-cafeteria square tables. A few good quality table cloths would make an amazing world of difference. Service was friendly and prompt, and food and drinks were quick to arrive. This was let down by a long wait for collection of the finished dishes and cups, taking up most of the space on the small tables. A collection of hand made chocolates, Movenpick ice cream (delicious!), scones, etc presented a range of options for those looking for a snack. Prices are pretty consistent with the area, but attached to a product of a much higher quality.
