Commonwealth Bank, 691-693 George Street, Haymarket

It is one of the biggest Banks in Australia. It has a of branches which makes it very convinient - there are many ATMS - Automatic Teller Machines. There is always one close by and anyone can withdraw money. Customer service is very good in the bank, the people are always very helpful and its open until 3.30 - Monday to Thursday and Friday until 5.

This branch had a major overhaul in their customer experience training and they are soooo much better than before. Staff seem genuinely interested in you and want to help you rather than trying to sell their products to you. I haven't been to every branch to comment about them but this branch is now my preferred branch to visit when in the city. However, the drawback is that there are always marketing sign-up people hovering outside pedestrians.

I opened my account in this bank, more specifically in this seat. there are two attendants and serves well and the other not. My luck was that I was served by the best one that opened current account and saver while my friends served by another listener not able to finalize the process and q had it back in George Street.

I chose this bank because as I am a student they waive the account fees. When i visit the branch I am always greeted warmly although there are long queues for the manager. The location is fantastic and I'm happy with this bank except for the fact that the manager there activated a service without my knowledge. I called up customer care and they de activated it but I am appalled that this could occur without my knowledge.

Expect long queues.
