The location of this spot, right across from the beach main entrance, is definitely convenient for anyone who wants to take a break from the sun while still enjoying the gorgeous blue sky and sea of Coogee. It definitely serves the purpose for me, with food and drinks priced reasonably considering the location. The food quality is not superb, but combined with the portion size, is a good deal for some beach time-out. Ordering system is organised and mostly self-serviced. Pagers are given out so you can grab an outdoor table and relax while waiting for your food to be prepared. There is an overall chilled pub vibe to the whole place which is suitable for any beach day. I have only been here at night once for Easter: the experience wasn't nearly as good as during the day.

Full of poms. Angry security guards and racists. Pathetic. Beaches of Australia are being overrun by hooligans.

I've been going to the Coogee Bay Hotel for a couple of years now and I just love it! They have an exceptional view of Coogee beach and relaxed outdoor seating that many people enjoy on a warm sunny day. Their main meals are nice and come in a very generous size along with tasty desserts. They even have an outdoor BBQ if you wish to cook your own meat. Overall, it's my favorite place to casually dine in Sydney.

Great venue in an ideal location. The perfect place to grab a drinkn and relax after a long day on the beach. Prices are reasonably priced for the pub scene, especially considering the beachside location. Service is also good, friendly and helpful bar tenders and effective security procedures ensure a great night every time.

This place is great for a quick beer after or before the beach. Listed as one of the roughest pubs in Sydney it can be get a bit messy at night, especially on weekends. If you're looking for a pub in Coogee this would be the option to take. It's right on the beach so any bus to Coogee will get you there. No trains.
