Stayed about 6 months ago on a powered tent site. Had an easy check in and great site by the beach. Clean fascilities made the stay great. I write this as I know some people have had a mixed response to staying here but we enjoyed our 4 night stay

Simply awful staff attitude and behaviour!! Went camping, phoned first to clarify and then booked online. However, according to the staff the email confirmations sent, by them I might add, does not count and is not valid. We requested additional items/facilities, on their standard online booking format, which was then not recognised by the staff. According to them and in their words, it is our fault and they have no obligation to honour the email confirmation. In addition they replied that they have std terms and conditions and that these trump any special requests, even though requested and confirmed on their confirming email. "We should know better" they said. We also requested 3 sites together as we where 3 families camping together. At check-in, we checked whether the site allocations had been made as such. They confirmed. Guess what, we where not together. The confirmed the same to all 3 parties, as we checked in at separate times. When we enquired about this, their reply, "you booked on-line, we can do nothing". Point to note, there is no facility on the booking system for site selection. Site allocation is done by the staff on site. Toilet facilities doors SLAMMED shut!! The local toilet doors do not have soft close mechanisms and as a consequence SLAM SHUT! We raised this with the staff who in turn acknowledged that they have had MANY complaints about it. We asked them if they could do something about it as the noise of the doors kept a lot of people and little children awake at night. Their response, not their problem. Again their feedback was that we made an online booking and they could do nothing about it?!?! Not sure about that one?!?! Toilet facility hygiene not what you would expect. On most of these sites, facilitates do get used a lot. As such you would expect regular cleaning. In the three days the toilets and shower areas where cleaned once. As you would expect, it became a bit dodgy. Wearing shoes in these facilities a must. Not once did the staff show any understanding or willingness to resolve any issues or even simple misunderstandings. Their attitude was simply inconsiderate, rude and very dismissive. Their std response was, "It is you fault for booking online. We can not do anything". Appalling!! Will not, could not recommend.

Spent the weekend in this park. Great facilities. They look like they are about 12mths old and are cleaned very well. Close to pub, Bowls Club & Surf Club. Not to mention all the cafa's and a number of other shops. All within walking distance. There is a large public park next to the north end and a skateboard ring and play ground area to the south of the Caravan Park. (You have to leave the park to get to them) BBQ area is clean but only in the middle of the park. Plenty of tent sites as well. The beach is about a 20 meter walk through some scrub in well marked out paths. It was not patrolled when we were there but it does have a Life Guard tower, so I guess it is at peak times. The Caravan Park is run by the Sunshine Coast Council. The only negative was the attitude of the staff member. She needs to find a new job.

We have stayed in this park in Aug ust for the last three years. it is always clean and has great facilities some of which were renewed only last year. It is on the beautiful Coolum beachfront, a short walk to shops, chemists, doctors and coffee shops. We highly reccomend this park. You can bring your small dog with you if you like and join the other dogs frolicking on the beach. The doggy section is at one end of the park,

Had been here before in a van and knew of the great facilities, location and overall setup. Sadly this trip was let down by the poorest attitude by the staff. Was here overnight with my son in our tent and copped a drenching in near gale force winds. Everything we owned was wet and the tent was ripped. We had booked in for another night and I asked the staff if I could possibly take a 'credit' on the one nights booking left and return a few days later this week after we got a new tent; or possibly put the tent site fee towards renting a cabin. Was greeted with a flat "no, the weathers not my problem". If they'd been booked out, fair enough, but occupancy was at about 33%. Such a shame as I love Coolum so much, but I will have to look elsewhere for my next trip.
