Crown Metropol Perth

Our two day, three room stay a Crown Metropole 5 Star was anything but 5 star... I wouldn't give it 2 star.. the rooms sidnt smell clean, possibly someone had smoked in them, there is no turn down service, everything you ordered you were charged for -I wanted to drink from a large wine glass, but was not happy to incur a $7.50 room service charge !!!.. I decided to spend the day around the pool, it was dirty, the staff were rude and there was no pool side service what so ever.. I moved at one stage to be closer to the kids slide, I went over to collect some towels, the staff were on the mobiles and didn't even look up. There was a triangle of pool towels on the bar and only when I took the towel, I disturbed the girl behind them, she gave me a filthy look..clearly she was to busy and I disturbed her.. I took back the towel only to find a piece of lemon on the floor, plastic cup, and some paper, when I went back ask her if there were any pool side staff to clean up the mess, the guy still didn't even lift his head from his mobile phone...she didn't even acknowledge me, put on some gloves and picked up only some of the rubbish.... extremely rude staff... all guest have to pay for certain beds around the pool area which were dirty.. one one of these had an old shoestring chip around the base of the umbrella.. I took a photo as I was stunned.. the glass ledge around the base of the umbrella had not even wiped down, the cushions had stains on them, at $60.00 a day !!! We spent a fortune at this hotel, a complete a utter waste of hard earned money. Try somewhere else.

Hotel is smart. Nice lounge and lobby area. Quieter now that the construction is finished. Plenty of restaurants in the complex. No interest in the casino. tip - parking is free in the car park just across the road

Probably the best Casino in WA
