I live very close to Deus and find myself returning quite a lot...Not sure if it's the fact that their coffee is so great or I want one of their motorcycles for Christmas.

Went to Deus Cafe with my wife for breakfast. After ordering and PAYING for two poached eggs, with prosciutto, asparagus, and roasted tomatoes on brioche, and a coffee, we were pretty surprised when my breakfast arrived minus the main ingredient… the EGGS! We told the waitress, who must have been blind to deliver an egg breakfast with no eggs in the first place. Apparently she organised two more eggs to be brought to the table. They never came after half an hour of waiting!

Love motorbikes and coffee? Deus Ex Machina have a funky cafe next door that serves wicked coffee and a mean breakfast of poached eggs and Boston beans. The cafe area is extensive and a seat can almost always be found. Clientele includes inner west hipsters and their little bubs.

This place has surely redeemed itself food wise for me. A few times I have popped over for a hangover bacon and egg roll and it has been dry and just not that great but today, very fresh and tasty! Staff aren't overly rude but definitely not friendly. At all. A smile might help?

Is that the staff are slightly arrogant. Aside from that Dues is fantastic. The milkshakes are devine (not for the health conscious - high level of ice-cream!), the home made baked beans are incredible and they always have a lovely range of specials available. After your food take a browse at the motorbikes, clothing and other paraphernalia.
