El Jannah, 4-8 South Street, Granville

Heck yes! El Jannah's (EJ's as it's known) is the best place in Sydney to come for roast chicken. No, their chicken itself isn't the best, (it's quality and ethical qualities are unknown) though it's still great. No, their service isn't the best (but they are quick for the obscene amount of people that come through the door). Not even their location (Granville station, the location of more than a public disturbances) nor their atmosphere/decor (bland and drab but not dirty) is what you would call good. But their garlic sauce, THAT is the best. Entirely addictive to the point where you'll eat so much of it you'll smell it on yourself for days. Have it in their chicken rolls, have it with their fantastic chips, have it with anything - it's brilliant. Prices are great for what you get and despite what some people would have you think with all the talk of chicken, chips and garlic sauce, they do have a range of food. Come here, come from wherever you live, it's worth it!

The best tasting charcoal chicken rolls ever! Their garlic sauce is so addictive and you can buy take home containers of it to make your own tasty meals at home. Always busy with lines out the door but service is really quick with tables outside with heating. Consistently great!

The most delicious charcoal chicken and garlic sauce you have ever tasted! Have gone out of my way to visit this place because the food is just that delicious and the prices are very reasonable! Definitely check the place out if you are in the area!

Oh its mind blowing to have my meals there always. I have tried labanese food when i was young in saudi arabia but i never had this fantastic taste anywhere in the world. i am an international student here in Sydney and would be going back to my home country next year and i wish i could have the branch/ franchise of el jannah in my city there or may be i will get ann immigration to Australia to enjoy it all my remaining life.

I can eat El Jannah EVERYDAY! (if I wasn't health conscious!) The BEST garlic sauce ever! Though I know they're known for their charcoal chicken (which are absolutely tender and succulent every time we go! Even the chicken breasts! and normally I'm not a chicken breast person, but if you offered it to me at EJs, I'll eat it up!) I could be eating their garlic sauce everyday! With everything edible!!! Thick and full of flavour! Not tangy like some may be, this sauce is just perfect! Sometimes, I just want to go there and eat the sauce with the bread! OR chips! Which are crunchy and seasons with a generous sprinkle of chicken salt!
