I had heard about Fish Face time and time again in the Sunday papers and on various review sites. They have hands down, the best hand cut chips!! Mains may be a little on the pricey side for a mid-week dinner, however the fish was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was intimate and cosy, with excellent service.

My friend was raving about this place so I gave it a go. Didn't blow me out of the water but it was pretty tasty. Still think it was pretty expensive for what it was though.

We ate at Fish Face as a weekday treat to celebrate 7 years together. The food and the wait staff were awesome, however the night was ruined by the presence in the venue of a rude, loud, obnoxious "friend" of the head chef who spent the evening either shouting across the counter in to the open kitchen to the chef, showing off to his gaggle of five blond bimbos at their table outside or squeezing through the diners and staff to help himself to drinks from behind the bar. What would have otherwise been a great evening was a total disappointment thanks to the unprofessional attitude of the chef in not choosing to tell his friend to leave.

The food was really good but you might be surprised spending near $100 for two people, squeezed onto a bar table on bar stools. The fish is cooked perfectly but $35 for fish and chips is steep. We did BYO for the wine and it was $5 corkage for each person. Tiny neighborhood restaurant with a good vibe, friendly staff.
