Just had the lousiest take away meal in Byron the Fish smelt like a river,we had both grilled and battered ,my wife spat hers out and I had two bites and put it back in the cardboard box tried the chips they were undercooked and cold ,yuck .Next was the prawn cutlets so small and overcooked, but at least edible ,the potato scallops were no better reconstituted . I have eaten here before, but a long while ago and it was very ordinary then, but this time a tourist rip off and obviously still here because of the location ,overpriced over cooked, never again Were locals guess how many people we pass this onto .

Nice location for a lunch, nice food, service was a bit slack (there were less customers by the time we wanted dessert, but staff took their time with the order for dessert). I clearly said dessert then coffee; got coffee right away, dessert ten minutes later (coffee got cold). Plus they just had to fit new powerpoints during lunch, so that came with all the masonry drilling noise while we tried to make ourselves heard. A bit pricey (mains around $33)

Ate here a couple of times on a recent weekend away. Nice spot down near the beach albeit overlooking the car park. Breakfast was good, coffees were some of the best I had in Byron and the avocado, ricotta and tomato on sourdough was very fresh. The bungalow sweet ham is also a worth addition to any of the dishes on the menu. Besides breakfast also had takeaway fish and chips/fish and calamari which wasn't as good, just a bit too much batter and a little oily for our liking.

Great food, great staff. But. A bit to expensive. Bad interior and decore and atmosphere of a cafe. Which for the price of a top class restaurant did not gel. If they moved to a better venue you would not question the prices
