Full Steam Espresso Repairs

We used this company's services after reading the rave reviews here. The man was prompt to pick up our coffee machine but returned it a couple of days later (bill in hand) saying he had thoroughly tested it and there was nothing wrong with it. After lecturing me on whether I had read the instruction manual, I made several cups of coffee to show it was only luke warm, it had always been perfectly hot up until a week before, we have owned the machine for 3 years and knew full well how to use it. All he could say was he had tested it and all was ok. So I made a comparison cup on our other Delonghi machine (we have 2 in our office) which was piping hot for a comparison (I was surprised that he thought luke warm coffee out of a $3600 machine was acceptable!). He simply said I don't know what's wrong. For that conclusion it cost us $120 which I thought was a bit tough when he couldn't trace the fault. Since Delonghi service agents advised it would take 2 - 3 weeks to give us a quote, my husband decided to investigate the problem himself. He measured the top element with his multimeter and found it had a closed circuit. We then purchased a new element which cost only $125 from a Delonghi repair centre and it took my husband 15 minutes to install the faulty element. My husband is a technician but not a coffee machine technician. Lol, we must be in the wrong business as we would never charge for being incapable of tracing a simple fault. I think it was unfair that we were charged "labour" time (fair enough a call out fee perhaps provided he knew what to look for). If you tell the customer that you know a machine then you can't find an obvious fault, you should not charge for the time spent not being capable of tracing it. Anyway lesson learned,

Excellent service. Fixed my coffee grinder last week. Now it works as good as new.

Fast Service. Reported a repair, within few hours the machine was fixed. I referred a friend as well, who is very happy as his machine was fixed at a very affordable rate. Good service & Affordable.
