1/3 Whilst the ambience and the location are typical of Gloucester's rural charm, complete with unadultered views of the famous Bucketts, the drink selection is average, and an intrusive water pump made conversation stilted. In defense of the quiet locale, the single staff member present was friendly and helpful, which was conducive to a pleasant transaction. The somewhat dated interior decor does detract a little, but at the same time fits in with Gloucester's "stuck in time" aesthetic. For a great view and pleasant atmosphere, but limited and overpriced drink selection, Gloucester Country Club gets a solid 3 and a half stars.
