Golf Club Motor Inn Wingham

I recently photographed this Motel for Google Business Photos. The location is very peaceful and the motel has new proprietors who are keen to please. Situated right next to the Golf Club this motel is perfect if you need accommodation in Wingham.

After spending 30 Years in the hospitality industry, and recently retired, my wife and I have nothing but praise for the new owners of the Golf Club Motor Inn at Wingham. From our very friendly welcome at Reception, the appointment of the room, to the ample parking bay in front of it, and the Quality of the food and service at the Golf Club restaurant, I wish to award 10/10 to all. My greatest wish is to return for another stay at this wonderfull venue.

Wingham is just up the Manning River from Taree - only 10 or 15 minutes by road but it feels like a different world. It's an historic town with lots of character and natural hospitality. Golf Club Motor Inn is within the golf course itself and adjacent to the Wingham Golf Club. Even if you are not there for golf you can access the golf club bar and restaurant and its just a 2 minute walk back to your room. I was there for business. My room had a verandah and a view out over the pond across the golf course. Its a very relaxing and comfortable place. By the way, don't miss out on a cooked breakfast.

My husband and I just spent an enjoyable 2 nights at the Wingham Golf Club Motor Inn. The rooms were extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need - including AUSTAR. Ours had a balcony with a wonderful view over a pond, filled with fish and turtles, and out over the golf course. The new managers, Dennis and Paula, were delightful, extremely helpful and they cooked a mean breakfast. They gave us great information on all the beautiful local areas to visit during the day, as well as the many golf courses in the area. I highly recommend this hotel for golfers and non-golfers alike. We will definitely be back.

What a dump. We were greeted by an intoxicated receptionist who told us to f**k off after we complained about the state of the rooms. There appeared to be only one guest booked in at the time. We were chased off the premises. We reported the matter to the Taree Police who are investigating. Fortunately we booked through the what.if website who readily refunded our money in full. How this motel remains in business is a mystery to me.
