The interior of this restaurant is quite run down. The carpet is held down with duct tape in parts, the curtains are ancient and the wallpaper is falling off. But, the food is reasonably priced, tastes good too!

I ate here once and that is the last time. The place needs to be renovated and the food on the buffet tasted like it had been there all day. The Chinese lady working there was not very friendly but the Australian girl who took care of us was really nice. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls. Find a good takeaway instead.

I certainly won't be returning to Gum Sing if it can be helped. The food was sub-standard and the place is falling apart. I don't want to come across as totally negative. On the plus side, the turn around on meals was quick and the prices were cheap. Having said that our waitress was quite rude. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, but this restaurant should really be avoided. I'm sure you could do better almost anywhere.

Standard "Aussie-Chinese" fare from this place. Owner is Chinese yet has been in the country for decades so is well and truly assimilated (and has a good sense of humour as well!). Well known for the smorgasbord which is a bargain at $14 for adults, which includes coffee and dessert. Limited range but what is on offer covers most of the popular choices. There is also a large menu of other Chinese and Australian dishes that can be ordered both for dine-in and takeaway, and is popular with the other blokes at my work (I work across the road) Only downside many patrons view is the place is badly in need of a renovation, and the food isn't as exotic as its competition up the road - but it's much cheaper. Service is fast and efficient.
