Great place for a casual family meal that dosn't cost a fortune, we often go there between 4 adults and order about 5-6 dishes to share plus with drinks it usually averages out about $20 per person. No dessert though. I am sensitive to MSG in asian restaurants but this place does not affect me at all. Staff do take their time with ordering and so on, so if you want to take your time and relax over a meal its fine, but if you want to rush through it dont go there. Food is fresh though. Think the others must have gone on bad nights with their reviews.

Service was terrible. We walked in to the restaurant and there was only one other table of people. We waited several minutes for someone to actually come and seat us. Absolutely no welcome, rather a grunt and pointed to our table. We were given menus, and that was it. No one came to offer drinks or take orders. There was still only one other group of people, so certainly not busy. The service was absolutely woeful. After ten minutes of waiting we got up and left without even so much as a glass of water. I have no idea why they bothered opening their doors.

Hans Cafe used to be a pretty decent place to eat 6 or 7 years ago. Now, I have been twice to Joondalup and once to Innaloo, and will never return. The Joondalup Hans was filthy to begin with. The service was ridiculously bad, and my food came out 15 minutes before my fiance's. I would have let that pass, except there were about 8 tables of people in there. I move faster than that in my home kitchen. Then, the food lacked any flavour or style. The Thai Green Curry was somehow bright yellow all through it (I mean neon yellow) and so I can only assume that goodness knows how much curry powder was dumped in it. You would think this would have it at least fiery, yet it still lacked any sort of flavour. My fiance had a pork cop dish described by the waiter as 'juicy and tender and full of aroma'. What came out was a deep fried pork chop that was uneatable on top of plain white rice with an egg. When I complained, suddenly nobody spoke very good English. Which is fine, except that everyone's English was fine up until that point. I think that this franchise should be shut down and rethought. Perhaps open some Yellow River cafes in their place. I would never recommend any Hans Cafe's to anyone.
