The store is simply HUGE. Its colossally big, so you can find almost anything there, from furniture to games! They have a good range of cellphones too, I've bought mine there.

I went into this store because I needed to get my computer serviced as I had bought from there years ago and it was still under warranty. On the way out, I decided while I was there I might as well have a look through the furniture section as I needed a new coffee table. Wandered around a bit before I found one I really liked. Not even just the table, the rug underneath I also really liked. At this point I'd been wandering around the store for at least 20 minutes with not so much as a hello from the staff. Finally someone saw me and asked if I needed help and I told her I liked the table but I also really liked the rug. She instructed me to go out of the store to get someone from the rug store (at the front entrance, apparently it was too far for her to go) to come look at the rug for me. He looked at the 2 corners not underneath the couch for the tag, couldn't find it, then told me they didn't have it. He couldn't even be bothered to move the couch to find the tag and see if another store had it on hand! Stupidly, I bought the table that I liked. Now here it is 4 weeks later and I still have no table. I've never even received a call about it. I've had to call three times to find out the status. Haven't received any phone calls about the status of my computer either. I also had to call for an update on that. What a joke!?!? Lucky for me, the rug I eventually found and ordered a week later (from OVERSEAS) has been delivered. It's no wonder people are going online to shop. The customer service is atrocious, not to mention the fact that I can actually get my items faster if I buy them overseas then from a LOCAL Harvey Norman.

Do not shop At Harvey Norman Bedding department, it is horrible. Even if you see something very nice, do some research first. (1) The staff didn't tell me anything about extra cost for specific time delivery, they just said that time can be organized the way I like, they are just trying to make you pay and doesn't matter if you are complaining afterwards(2) As they are franchise, they are under Harvey Norman, but they are not the same company after all, Furniture department was fantastic but not the bedding, you can't complain because the boss, Ken Lloyd, is not helpful either.I don't feel that he is trying to help (3) The price tag is meaningless, I know you can bargain prices, but it seems that the more you force the sales, the more they slash the price, seems it is really up to them whether they give the bargain, you can see the huge profit margin (4) Although the sales told me it is solid wood, when it was delivered, you can see it's just combined wood, I doubt if the sales know what's going on (5) Instruction manual from the bed is lousy, screws provided are wrong. don't expect you would get something similar to Ikea ones, and the supplier told me that I am Chinese, I should understand the manual. If I am Aussie, I won't. They are very racist. (6) I won't shop at their bedding department, should have gone Freedom or Ikea.

We recently purchased several items for our new home. Jacob (from the electrical & Home entertainment department) was excellent. We went back several times as we searched for products that we were going to be really happy with and each time,his expertise on the equipment and his patience was awesome. He helped us sort out bundle deals and even sorted out our issues when we changed our minds on certain pieces. I would recommend Jacob to anyone thinking of buying items at Alexandria Harvey Norman. We were very happy with his customer service.

Quality 0 / 3 Appeal 0 / 3 Service 0 / 3. Harvey Norman Moore Park customer return policy is lousy! I tried to return a Blu Ray DVD player after less than one week. The equipment was in perfect pristine condition with all protective plastic coating still on it. The player didnt play my Blu Ray DVDs due to region issues and also didnt play DVDs that I had recently purchase from a major store in Sydney. Instead of cheerfully giving me a refund the sales person argued with me and told lies to his supervisor regarding what he had stated during the sales process. The supervisor then said they would only refund 80% of my purchase price I have never heard of this ever happening anywhere before!! I have truthfully spent thousnds of dollars over the last few years at this store and mentioned the lifetime value of a good customer - this apparently falls on deaf ears with these people. I will definitely look to taking future business elsewhere and I strongly recommend anyone else do consider doing so
