Good friendly service with bus to terminal very efficient

2011: I stay here every year and every year it gets more tatty yet stays the same price. The staff are nice but the walls need a lick of paint.. time for a spuce up, come on guys its like been in an old Arizona motel, yellowing and creaking!

My wife and I stayed four nights for a family wedding near by. We asked for a quiet room and we got it! It was facing the pool and we couldn't hear any of the city noise. They had a choice of pillows which was great. There was also a comfy chair to flop into after shopping. Very handy for Southern Cross train station and over the river to the casino. Used the business centre to check emails and appreciated that internet access and newspapers were free. Once we worked out the how trams work in Melbourne it was easy to get them to the mall and Fed square area. Reception staff set us up with maps and even got us discounts to the Rialto observation deck and an 'ice bar'. If you are a new tourist to Melbourne take the free 90 min bus tour to orientate yourself. Didn't use the restaurant. I go to Melbourne in March for business and plan to stay there again as it was good value for money.
