Very busy and warm atmosphere. Food was timely and good servings. Fried ice-cream is a must for every person. The lines are massively long and big groups are hard to accomodate for. We were late and lost our booking and had to wait 1 hour. BYO cake was charged 1 dollar each person which wasnt great.

This place was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend and I had the Laos sausage and chicken satay skewers as entree, they were both beautiful to say the least. For the main I had the duck curry; this curry was by far the best curry I have ever had. Not only did it have the perfect creaminess to spice ratio, but there were other beautiful fruity flavours that made this curry experience unique and amazing. I was aware that holy basil is famous for its fried ice cream, but by the time I got through my main I was too full to get dessert. Instead I decided to order it as take away. Needless to say it kept really well on the drive back home and when I went to try it ohhhhhhh lawwwwdy was that a good ice cream. You may have tried deep fried ice cream somewhere else, but this One is soo different and beautiful. 10/10 meal, would eat there again.

Amazing taste for this Laos. The mango fish is superb with generous mango or green apple salad topping. Gotta try the sausage as well.. one of the kind..the ox tounge is juicy. You need to go few times to try each of their dishes and you need to do that because they are all uniquely superb. Oh, don't forget the fried ice cream, you'll crave for more if you share it for two.

The signature dessert, the infamous Fried Ice cream put Holy Basil on the map which in turn has put Canley Vale on the map of the great & delicious in Sydney's West. Incredibly always busy for dinner and weekend lunches but for good reason - so be prepared to wait a while. The buzzing ambiance and food is top notch and inexpensive with Thai staples like Pad See Eww, Pad Thai and duck curry that never disappoints. Never leave here without getting the Fried Ice Cream - a total dream.

Beautiful decor and fantastic tasting food. The drink selection is very authentic and fun. Food tastes great and curries definitely worth trying. Saving the best for last - you must try the fried ice cream, some people go there just for dessert so it sometimes runs out. It's a great spin on traditional friend ice cream.
