Hugo's has a great view and a great vibe and the good is delicious, but it should be when you are paying $28 for a pizza! It's always very busy so book ahead. Very nice wine list too.

Hugo's is a great spot to take visitors to Manly as you get superb views over the water as well as a slightly high class dining feel. I've eaten here a couple of times and have always been impressed with the food, although be warned it is a little pricey. The wait for a table can also be rather frustrating, but provided you can get a spot near the bar whilst waiting then there's definitely worse places to while away half an hour!

Great place for lunch to watch the manly world sail by. You do sometimes feel like a bit of a horse however, sitting at the big windows. It can be hard to get in here, so I would recommend booking otherwise it can be hour+ wait at weekends. Great wine list (hit up the Katnook Odyssey if they have any left) and the food is the normal sort of pub fare, but definitely one of the better places to eat in Manly. Their pizzas are the second best to my fav pizza place, which is high praise! Pros: perfect for a relaxed lunch with friends, decent wine list (bubbles fall short) and one of the better places for food in Manly which is pretty hit and miss. Cons: long waiting times if you don't book, staff can be hit and miss, noisy, and it is very much a tourist trap due to location.

Go to Hugos for great cocktails & amazing pizza. The pizzas are made on traditional thin bases, without too much cheese, and delicious toppings-my favourite is the lamb pizza. The only one I didn't enjoy was the pork belly pizza. The cocktails are consistently great, and they even have four different options for 'mocktails' for those not drinking alcohol. Pizzas average around $22-$24. Location wise, Hugos can't really be beaten. It's about 20 steps from the gates of the Manly Ferry, and another couple of steps to the buses, with views across Manly Harbour. Downside is it's always packed and they don't always take bookings, meaning wait times can be lengthy.
