IL Lago

Very disappointing, I won't be going back there. Poor menu choices on the set menu, The gnocchi was supposed to have king prawns in it but I only found 2 pieces of prawn about as big as my thumb nail, it was so super salty I couldn't finish it. The panacotta was nice but the jelly on the top was runny. The coffee was burnt and very bitter. Even the lemon lime and bitters was about 50% lime and hard to drink.

I am so happy to have finally found a decent italian restaurant in the hills!!! this place is fantastic, the service is friendly and the food is always yummy, every time I have visited Il lago, whether it be for lunch or dinner I have not been disapointed!

Im not sure where the people writing some of these reviews come from. Obviously, and as usual, people with too much time on their hands are always the same people that never have anything good to say. I never write restaurant reviews but after reading these had to set the record straight. The food and service at Il Lago are at a consistently high standard having now eaten there on several occassions. The location and atmosphere is second to none in the Hills. Im glad i decided to ignore some of the ridiculous comments of other reviews and try it for myself. Only one way to judge this place ... go there and check it out for yourself ... i'd be incredibly surprised if you were dissastisfied.

As the rating suggests, I hated this place! They do not understand either service or food so why do they bother? For that reason why should we and you? In Sydney, in our days every venue which calls itself a restaurant should be at least offering food that is edible. Well, Il Lago's food is downright dreadful. And the service? Rude and incompetent. Save your money and your lunch or dinner. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Waiter was very rude when we decided not to have desert and the proceeded to give us our bill so we would leave!!!
