Imperial Hotel, 24 Cullen St, Portland

Was meant to stay 4 nights froze with no heating and dirty rooms and showers...cakes of soap stacked on top of each other holes in shower walls. wife is lovely but up against it only good thing was cold beer and access to kitchen..which was clean.so breakfast cereal and tea was available at any time. left after 2 nights had a beer at the other pub in town and checked their rooms will be staying there next time! food was frozen veges and anything deep fried, had dinner at the other pub and was suprised to learn there was a chef..food was great sorry to say i cant say a good thing about the place. i should have guessed when the "bloke" who did the initial tour showed me the bathrooms his words here's "the sh$#%ers" and there is another shi$%er up the other end. if you get stuck overnight and cannot get a room at the other pub to stay, make the trip to lithgow or regret it like i did. lovely town though with good people.
