Swimming pools and gyms can be moody at the best of times!! They have there ups and downs due to the amount of people that come through each day and usually the building and infrastructure is poorly maintained by Councils. The true test is the experience you have on most days you come. At Ivanhoe I have been a member for over 3 years and the staff do an amazing job. These people will go to the ends of the earth to make sure you get what you need when you need it. My kids are in swim lessons and love their instructor and my husband and I have been using the gym (the gym staff are very proactive - bordering on personal trainers!!). The new cardio gym equipment just bought is amazing and apparently more is coming! Rough around the edges but great people giving great service which more the makes up for a lack of investment from Council.

Actually it's not bad, the gym is good, but apart from policing the gym while you work out you get no communication. the classes are fine, but all the good ones like yoga are either midday during the week or 8 am sunday the pools are fine, but you wonder how clean they are, the water is always lovely and warm and ideal for breeding disease. I had the worst flu ever just after joining the gym and pool, and i was very very sick for 2 months. not keen on going back, and wish there was another choice of gym in the region. Barbara
