My Favourite Restaurant

Located along the busy Victoria Rd in Drummoyne, La Kasbah is a family owned restaurant that transforms you to another place upon entering the homely decorated restaurant. The wife served us today, who was incredibly busy running around the place while tending to her two children and so it wasn't surprising that service was slow. The food was mediocre as the cous cous royal we ordered came out lukewarm and the sauce of the lemon chicken tajine was too watery.

Food taste is not standard or good, English is very poor to understand, the overall customer service is bad, rude behave and attitude is wrong, total disappointment.

Terribly disappointing restaurant and even more disappointing service. The couscous specialty is not so special. The surprising bit is the total lack of customer service and total disrespect for customers, perhaps we were treated poorly as we were 'coupon' holders. I'm surprised the restaurant survives in these times when people are more aware of food quality and customer service. The plates are not collected after each meal component, the service is long and protracted and the food is really not that special.

Absolutely fantastic! We decided to go to this restaurant after friends recommended it to us. We had a wonderful evening for our sons 18th birthday. We booked in advance but were the last table to arrive. We ordered, sat back and had a drink and our food arrived just on time after. We had the banquet meals which gave us great variety and had no issues with paying full price of only $35 per head. We all agreed it was delicious and ample. Our 3 other children, 2 of which are younger were happy and received loads of attention. We didn't bring a cake but on finding out we were there to celebrate a birthday the owners bought out desert with a candle and sung happy birthday which we thought was a nice touch. It was a full house and overall the atmosphere was warm and welcoming on a cold and rainy night out. We had a ball! Would definitely recommend it and look forward to our next visit!
