Lobosco's Restaurant

The writers of the couple of unfavourable reviews of this place must have either had a bad night with something going wrong (I guess any place can occasionally have a slow night) or perhaps were just in a hurry and found the waiting time excessive - but I was a regular customer at Lobosco's for over 10 years and *never* waited as long as the other reviewer did. And the staff were great, the service efficient and friendly, the food great; and in every way my experience of Lobosco's was good. (And the iced coffee they served was probably the best in Melbourne that I have ever come across.) It's so sad, therefore, that Lobosco's has now finished (as of around April, 2010); but I will always have happy memories of Lobosco's, and I already miss going there. My thanks to the staff for many enjoyable meals there, and I wish them well wherever their careers now take them.

Went here on Valentines day with my gf as we were in the area. The place was only about 1/3 full, yet we had to wait nearly an hour for the entree to be served, then another 40+ minutes for the main meal. We nearly left out of disgust. It also wasn't just us, as the other people in this restaurant also appeared to be frustrated waiting for their food to arrive. The staff, although pleasant, made no mention of the reason for the delay nor did they apologise for it. Looks like it's par for the course at this place. :( The food itself was above average in taste, but in no way does it make up for the extremely crap service speed. Don't go here if you're feeling hungry, as it'll be nearly 2 hours before you get food. There are several other food venues practically right next to this place as well, so choose them instead. I know that next time I will.
