When I dropped off my dog I asked to see the kennels and staff said "But what if you don't like them?" I thought this was a very strange and arrogant response. I insisted on being shown and they seemed clean. As my dog was only staying for 2 nights and I was in a hurry I didn't have time to find another place. Before I came I had let them know on the phone that my dog had medication and needed his own pen but when I turned up the quote didn't include the meds and it had to be recalculated. The vet had also said my dog needed a chew toy at night to stop him nibbling at his paws (he had just recovered from an infection caused by an allergy rash) but the staff said "he doesn't need that." I explained why and the staff said "I've been working with dogs for ten years and I can tell you he doesn't need it." I said "I've had dogs longer than that and besides the vet said so, so he's having it". When I picked up my dog, staff couldn't find the toy at first, then I saw marks and blood on my dog's paws where he had been munching on his paws and I asked if he had been given it to play with at night. Staff said "I don't know". I don't think that's good enough- if a dog is in its own pen it can have a toy especially for therapeutic reasons. Pathetic. I think some staff there have let the job get to their heads and forgotten that they are not the experts and don't own the dogs, the owners do. I will never take my dog there again. Very, very strange place.

Before we booked in our Staffy we were able to inspect Lyndon Park and speak to the owner and staff. We had no qualms about leaving our girl there and on each occasion we've picked her up she's been happy, healthy and appears to have had a fantastic holiday. Her tail is always wagging when we bring her down the driveway for her next stay.

We were thrilled to bits. Lily looks so happy. We noticed how happy and relaxed she was when she came home from Lyndon. In the past, when she has stayed in another kennel she was exhausted and lost her bark. Lucinda and I chose Lyndon because we were amazed how happy the dogs looked on our inspection. Thank you for being so caring towards Lily and we will not hesitate to leave her in your care again.

After an 8 day stay my dog came home underweight and with ulcerated sores (bite marks) on his neck and side. Dog needed to go to the vet and received anti-biotics and in excess of $100 treatment. I called Lyndon Park to ask how my dog could have been bitten in their care, and was told I could not speak to the owner. I asked the staff member how come their daily checks and regular vet check did not pick up the wounds and they admitted to NOT supervising dogs during exercise time [though they were in 'earshot'] and admitted to NOT having dogs vet checked or checked daily due to being short staffed. I was NOT able to check the state of the pens when I dropped my dog. I was charged two days extra over and above the high boarding fee for some lame reason to do with it being during peak time. [I was paying the high peak rates for an 8 day board - yet they felt justified in charging extra???] Owner wrote a letter to me and 'benevolently' offered me a cut rate for my next board at their kennel. Found this kennel EXTREMELY negligent in their care. Felt it was the least I could do to write them an honest review. DO NOT BOARD HERE
