Magnetic Gateway Holiday Village, Bruce Highway, Cluden

My wife and I stayed here a few years back, we found the staff to be very helpful and cheerful, thus the reason I've booked ahead for five days in September 2013. I am looking forward to the stay.

Been travelling for almost 8 weeks and been in over 30 caravan parks and although Magnetic Getaway is quite large it is by far one of the dirtiest ive been in!! They clean the bathrooms and the kitchen with a garden hose where everywhere else has used a mop and bucket and a little disinfectant! I have not seen the kitchen being cleaned what so ever, the so called cleaner came into the kitchen and told us to leave while we were finishing our breakfast because she was going to clean the kitchen with a hose.. She proceeded to hoes down everything befor we got a chance to leave. VERY IGNORANT. will never be staying here again and will not be recommending it to anyone.. someone also wrote in the bathroom mirrors 'Dirty' and 3 days later it was still there.

Very friendly staff and the manager could not do enough for us. The grounds and gardens very green, tidy and clean. Amenities are the best we have seen this trip, kept very clean and tidy. In reading the nasty commented previously I do have to say that the bins were emptied three days of the week so I am not sure what they mean when they say [not emptied frequently. Very lovely stay, we will be back and I will certainly be telling all my friends and other travel mates.

Very rude welcome to the park. We had been booked ahead from a previous Top Tourist park two weeks before arrival. Upon arrival we were told what site we were going to be on and then we were changed to another that was in the middle of a paddock with no shade. We had booked for a weeks stay so was not expecting to be placed in the boom docks. The manager Lynda stated to me that "if you wanted a tree you should have booked one" Very unfriendly staff throughout the park. Amenities not well maintained and just squirted out with a hose each day. Rubbish bins not emptied frequently. WILL not be recommending this so called 4 star park to any of my traveling friends. We are thinking of canceling our membership. When you pay top dollar you at least expect a bit of courtesy.

We think the park is lovely, staff and management very helpful, very spacious and guests are friendly too. Amenities are spotless and all washing machines working. For a park right on the Bruce Hwy it was still very peacefull highly recomend to stay here, we will be back. 2010.
