WOW. What TERRIBLE customer service, would definitely recommend going elsewhere - has been over a week and still no news on when my NEW car will be delivered.

I thoroughly recommend McCarroll's at Waitara, and was completely happy with the whole experience of buying my new Golf. Sam, our sales person, could not have been more helpful and attentive, and all requests were followed up immediately. And I live in the Eastern suburbs, so I would certainly not have been travelling so far without an extremely good reason. Congratulations, McCarroll's.

Have purchased 2 new cars here inside the past 2 years. Unfortunately the 2nd time the dealership has held onto my 500 holding deposit for the past 4 months despite repeated requests for refund (and the vehicle actually being paid for in full on top of the 500!!!!!!) Really unimpressed with this... otherwise buying has been a positive experience. This sort of post sale bs is just really poor form.

Was a pleasure to buy the car from John of McCarrolls. However, be careful with servicing and the service manager. He walks a fine line between recommending a required change to extract the best out of your pocket. Recent service for an oil change, they added wheel balancing without the need for it (did not ask for one!), charged for it with "middle man" charge of course + parts - I could have gotten this done elsewhere at my own time when required. He also recommended brake fluid bleed & purge, at 2 years old?, stating air build up in the circuit? when this is a reasonable moisture adsorption, stating air pockets in the circuit - as opposed to normal hygroscopic properties. I questioned why a closed loop system in the Golf is so prematurely prone to this after only 2 years (I'm sure VW would love their clients asking this question), and disregarded this recommendation as opportunistic attempt - which I found upon inspection to be fine, there are no sponginess due to gas bubbles in the hydraulics. Realizing most people would find difficulty differentiating between normal ageing of the brake fluids versus that that requires changing and claiming air pockets are building up in the hydraulic tubes, is deception. $120+ saved. Then an ozone flush was recommended for the AC which would be another $130 which was also declined. Why would the AC of the Golf be so conducive to mold buildup compared to other cars? At the end of the day, it was a very unsatisfactory service level that destroyed the reputation. For John Lee, McCarrolls gets kudos for an excellent sales team but for the Service Managers approach of fear driven opportunistic deception, big disappointment guys! I'll be very mindful of your practices, or choose to service elsewhere, unless Shannon gets the flick for this tarnishing behaviour. I also want to make a note, the reviews below by 2 separate ppl Judith and deb had exactly the same content. Something doesn't smell right, does it ?! You decide.
