Me Wah Restaurant, 16 Magnet Court, Sandy Bay

It would be a mistake to consider this restaurant a typical chinese restaurant. We had a group of 6 dine here and the food was absolutely sensational, dumplings (some of the best I have ever had), duck pancakes, lobster, fish, and wagyu beef with some amazing seafood fried rice. I spend half my life travelling through asia with work, I know good asian food when I have it! This place is a must try! Although expensive, this place is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anybody who wants good food. The wine list is huge with one waiter dedicated to wine and he knows his stuff. The service was spot on at all times, one of us had a food allergy and it was taken care of without any hesitation or problem.

Delicious & authentic...reminded me of hidden yum cha restaurants in Hong Kong (although sadly we visited for dinner so yum cha carts weren't to be found). Started with pork belly & duck pancakes, and moved on to deliciously spicy crispy chicken and wasabi wagyu. The wine list is immense - and their sommelier is super helpful. Try the Dawson & James 2010 pinot.

Outrageously good! Outstanding food, professional, impeccable & attentive service and great decor. I really appreciated the attention to detail by the staff and cleanliness of the restaurant is second to none. I felt it was just as good as dining out in Hong Kong. I had the Wagyu Wasabi which was melt the mouth. Menu is very extensive, can't wait to return and sample more.

Both visits to Me Wah have been absolutely beautiful! Service is faultless, menu is inspiring and the banquets were superb. The wine list can push the bill to the higher end of the scale, but for an impressive meal I'd go back in a flash!
