Metro Hotel Sydney Central

Great location, walking distance to everything. Staff are friendly and efficient and have been able to accommodate early check-ins on a couple of occasions. And quick check-in and check-out makes life easier. Rooms have been refurbished recently and feel fresh, clean and comfortable. Plus reasonably priced.

You could feel the springs in the beds when sleeping, not too comfortable and very noisy hotel even 8 floors up!

The hotel is located close to the Central station that is about a 15' train ride away from international airport. Although the lobby looked a bit old our room was in a very good state (clean and comfortable) as we were told it was just renovated. Tea and coffee were in the room but we did not use as we had our meals outside. There were also some free cable channels to watch. Only bad was that internet use was charged extra, but this happens in a lot of hotels around the world. The staff were extremely helpful with directions and also helped us book our Blue Mountains tour. The young man at the front office (I think Chevy was his name) was so accommodating he even stopped a taxi for us and helped us with our luggage. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family!

Would nor recommend. The breakfast area looks like a public bar in a pub. They need to update there photos as the whole place needs refurbishment to look like they advertise.

Booked in by corporate travel aren't as all approved hotels booked (short notice). This is a below budget hotel in serious need of a refurbishment! Room was dark. The mattress worn out and sagging in the middle. No noise insulation, could hear muffled conversations and TV from other rooms. The bathroom had mold, broken fixtures and a hole in the wall, additional I'm six foot two, the shower floor to roof is six four, felt I constantly had to duck, couldn't sit square on the cramped in toilet either. The place is awful, simply awful.
