My Yen Chinese Restaurant

We found our visit to the restaurant not a pleasing one and a decision maker not to return. Firstly the fried rice was just rice with 3 prawns and half a dozen peas. It was very disappointing. The meals came out loaded with onions and very little of the primary dish. Service staff were short and abrupt and attempted to clear whilst meals were clearly not finished. Obviously staff wanted an early night! Following service delivery, a couple of fortune cookies were tossed on our table and the table beside us. Then vacuuming commenced. Lovely ambiance! Tables were still eating and it was well within opening hours. Having read the reviews, we had high expectations. We left with the opinion that it must have been the staff who had wrote them! For the prices, there are much better Chinese restaurants in similar locations.

Ask for the Chinese menu rather than the standard Aussie one. Most (all i tried) seafood frozen and defrosted.

Excellent food, excellent service. The best fried rice I've ever had! I would definitely recommend My Yen.
