0.67/3 Sounds like the heritage rooms are dodgy...but I had a nice one at the back overlooking the car park, large, quiet and with a balcony (also very convenient to my car). Room was nice and service was fine. The location's a bit remote but only 15 minutes walk to the mall. They cash in on the remoteness by charging a lot for food but I didn't have any. I got a super special rate so I'm biased but even at normal prices it's worth considering, given the low standards in Canberra.

0/3 I ordered a rare steak. It came out medium. The battered fish was more batter than fish. The garlic prawns were more like tiny pieces of salted rubber. The chicken parmigiana was a dry piece of chicken with a slice of packet ham and a tiny piece of melted cheese. What a joke.

0/3 Do not book into the Heritage rooms ..the one we had was so tiny...plus our view was dirty roof tops...we were quoted $110 for this tiny room...no fresh air..and no windows opened ....but on leaving we were charged $119...we did query this ...but still had to pay the $119... so be careful .....and do not book the Heritage rooms.... The one we had was no where near the one they have on their site....

2/3 My wife & I stayed at Olims for our 21st wedding anniversary. The romm was comfortable & clean and the staff looked after us well. The service in the Thai restaurant which was there at the time could have been better but I believe it's no longer there. Parking was easy and it was a quick walk to shops and major tourist attractions like the War Memorial. All up, we were quite happy.
