Peppergreen Trading Co

I visited this beautifully-presented antique shop in May 2009 with a good friend of mine. The shop has everything and is exceptionally well-laid out. Not only are there the usual antiques such as crockery and household wares, but there was also a very organised selection of vintage clothing, ranging from hats, gloves, stoles, shawls and even pantaloons! Unfortunately, if you are not Caucasian, expect to be treated with disregard that borders on contempt and rudeness. Not only did the sales assistant actively dissuade me from trying out the hats and stoles (she packed everything away as soon as we got them out), she queried my (Anglo-saxon-sounding) surname on my credit card when I paid for the large amount of fur stoles! Lovely shop, but I don't expect to be treated like a second-class citizen for not being Caucasian.
