Pope Joan

Delicious sandwiches and really tasty breakfast choices. I am not so keen on the dining menu, so I recommend sticking to the breakfast one. Staff are also very friendly and polite.

Food was impeccable as were the staff! Was feeling quite ill that morning but after having breakfast and coffee at Pope Joan, I was feeling much better. We ordered the $9 breakfast each, with a latte and cappuccino. Both well presented and had a great barista. Could not fault the food, coffee or staff here. Would definitely visit again.

One of the better cafés around. Food and coffee are both reliably good, and service staff take their jobs seriously, which makes all the difference. It can get a little busy at peak times, but it's generally easy enough to get a table.

Stopped for brunch while visiting Melbourne last month. They serve coffee by Allpress, and my cappuccino was made to perfection, in fact, it was so good I ended up ordering a second one. The spiced white sausage, fried egg, grilled peach & watercress was super delicious, it wouldn't be something I'd order for breakfast, but it was perfect for brunch. The service was wonderful, after we had our food we ordered our second round of coffee and asked to be moved outside to the garden so we could enjoy the sun, there was no fuss but a smile from our waitress as she told us to pick a spot and she'll bring our coffee out shortly. Definitely due for a revisit on my next Melbourne trip.

Great cafe. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, atmosphere is good and the coffee is freshly brewed and very strong. Although the decoration can be improved I don't really think it's such a huge turn off and will be definitely come back again and also recommend you to give it a try.
