PRO DIVE, 27 Alfreda Street, Coogee

Worst place to go for a spearo. They sell equipment, but don't have clue about prices (always looking it up or asks to come back when someone else is in the store). Don't have a clue on what to sell for replacement equipment (e.g. rubbers) Everything seems overpriced. Don't take any of their advice or prices. Go elsewhere!

After receiving terrible service from another dive company in Sydney, my girlfriend and I turned to Pro Dive Coogee to complete our Open Water course. They couldn't do enough to help us and made us feel comfortable with our gear and in the water. The instructors were all really friendly and knowledgeable, and we thoroughly enjoyed diving with them. Subsequently we booked a boat dive and several shore dives with Pro Dive as well as our Advanced Course. Throughout they've been great, and we've been very impressed with the service we've received. We will continue to dive with the Coogee team and recommend them to our friends.

Thank you for helping me arrange the PADI course for this past weekend. This was something that I have wanted to do for for 10 years and becoming certified on the last day before entering my 30s was particularlt memorable. In particular I wanted to say how much having a great instructor in Will truely made the experience. While his great personality and passion for diving made the training fun, his uncompromising approach to the drills and safety gave me great confidence. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Not that it is insane, just borderline - 1. Showed up for air fill 2. Showed my cert card (they always ask, never remember me) 3. Was asked to remove my BC from the tank so they could check the date of manufacture (Every time... they don't do pre-1998 and that shifts up every year!) 4. Waited for 10 minutes while she gossiped on the phone about people, went outside and talked some cricket. 5. Tried to pay for my $9 (SDA club is $6) fill with a $20 - was rejected, asked to pay with change 6. Got change from car 7. Tried to get rid of my smaller coins, she stopped me at $4 in change and asked for my $5 bill. 8. Total time for a fill: 25 minutes, and I was the first in line.
