Reef View Hotel, 12 Resort Drive, Hamilton Island

Beautiful destination. The Reef View Hotel was great. Large room and friendly accommodating staff. So many activities included in out package at the hotel. It's just unfortunate it was too windy to use the catamaran and the wind made the water choppy so the water was not the best for snorkelling (due to the sand that had been disturbed in the water) but that's mother nature for you. The food at the hotel was great and so much of it that I don't think I'll need to eat for a week! It's an expensive destination but with so much included I think it's worth it.

WOW! Hamilton Island was amazing, and the views from the 18th floor at Reef View were spectacular. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I described my trip to Hamilton Island as 'a trip of a lifetime!!', until we returned home. A day after getting home, Myself, mother in law and sister in law were all covered in little bites from head to toe. They were itchy and extrememly annoying. Much to our disgrace we realised these were bed bug bites! After doing some research we found out that that women are more sensitive to bites, hence why the rest of the family (males) weren't bitten. For a 4 star hotel, you would have thought this would have never occured, and after reading other reviews, it seems that it is a problem at this particular hotel. Recommend Reef View immensly, if you take you own mattress and bedding :(

Loved this for our honeymoon location

Me and my bf stayed at the Reef View Hotel for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. It is so relaxed, chilled and well organised! We booked a Garden View room but upon checking in found ourselves in an Ocean View room with no extra charge. Our room was cleaned daily - all towels replaced, beach towels, dirty dishes removed, beds made. This normally happend around lunch time, except for one morning when they came knocking at about 8.30am! The buffet breakfast was delicious, a big selection of hot food, cold foot, drinks, cereals and you can even ask the chefs to make you an omelet. The staff are friendly and very helpful, they have a tour desk where someone books all your activities for you. Overall Hamilton Island is beautiful, and I was happy with our choice of accomodation.

Hamilton island is expensive. Period. However, Reefview offers a perfect balance of value while still enjoying all of the island's amenities.
