I've visited ripples at whaley quite a few times. It's fantastic for a quick coffee before or after a swim or a surf and is fantastic for dinner. The winelist is always varied, something which is often forgotten at such places. The service was slow on one particular occasion where the meal of one guest came about 20mins after the rest of the table had been served. The lovely waitress also struggled a little to smoothly poor wine glasses. Everyone however was very apologetic and friendly throughout the evening. The cheese souffle is delish.

I've been for dinner twice and lunch once at this place. The food was the best I've tasted on the Northern Beaches in a while, (try the melt in your mouth steak!) and the atmosphere cosy and intimate. Service was great on two occasions and a little slow on the lunch. Certainly nothing to stop me from recommending it highly.

The service is bad, the food is bad and overpriced. There are great cafe's and restaurants in Avalon and Palm Beach. Go there instead.
