Had dinner with my wife on 03 Oct 13. Hotel was not busy at the time. My vegetables were cold, my steak was cold and bacon was not cooked. Returned my meal and the chef came out and was as rude as hell with attitude. I am a member but will not go there ever again. Crap food service and awful attitude.

A frequent visitor of the bistro at the banksia hotel. The food is fantastic, and large portions are welcoming. There is a variety of dishes to chose from, and best of all, there is a 40% discount on all mains every Thursday. Highly recommended bar food, for locals or if you are in the area.

Great atmosphere and plenty of balcony space to sit in the sun with friends and hav a enjoyable meal, they also offer member cards which entitle you to a discount on certain nights which can make the meals really cheap! nice food especially their greek tasting platter and souvlaki. I especially enjoy their pasta dishes. huge eating area inside also as well as a decent sports bar with plenty of tvs showing a variety of sports

A lot of good quality food to choose from and generous servings. Good TV sports venue for the area including the UFC. Everything else is reasonable.

I've been to the Rocksia quite a few times, the food is just amazing, the kitchen staff are helpful and nice, but the security are terrible, I was there on 19/4. had a few drinks, and went and sat next to someone I wasn't familiar with (Was a dare, wasn't drunk) I asked how he was going, and how he likes the place, and he told me I had three seconds to leave where I was, I asked why and what was wrong, that was when he motioned to his friend, a bouncer, who came and picked me up by my arm and told me I had to leave, I asked why? I wasn't drunk, I'd been there with a group of friends for hours, I asked for his ID number or name, and just got pushed back even further. The power these security guards think they have is shocking. This scenario has really turned me off The Rocksia, Even for food. The security that thought he was a law enforcement officer, was a BIG boy, we're talking 200kg big, Desperately needed to do something about his weight. But while his working there, I will not recommend the place to anyone who asks about it. I am appalled. Thanks for reading,
