I went there with my wife to be and the food was amazing with each dish carefully made. The service was amazing, from the time we arrived to the time we left we where treated with such great respect. This is the kind of place you go to when you want more than just good food but also a good experience. I am young sporty guy so I eat alot of food. So if you normally eat big servings don't expect that here. Its about excellent food, excellent service and an amazing experience, one which I won't forget :-).

At first i was confused by the menu - but after eating four courses i got the idea. Such a good way to eat a variety of dishes. The food was interesting - and delicious. wait staff were cool - up for a chat and relaxed but made sure we were well looked after. The place seems to be staffed by soon-to-be lawyers. Easily the best restaurant in canberra, and if they have it when u go - eat the BANARAMA. heaven on the lips! + ask one of the waiters to match it with a wine! (or cocktail from the bartender- he knows his stuff)

My husband and I went to celebrate his birthday, we have been to many many fine restaurants including most of the three hat winners in Sydney and Sage would def be on the same playing field. It is a little more funky than most of the other fine dining places we have been but it suits. The staff are lovely, friendly and prompt. They were extreemly knowledgeable about their dishes, how they are made and where everything was sourced from. I loved the fact that not only was the bread made by them but so was the butter culture! Even more amazing was the fact that they are supplying the restaurant from their own farm, they could even tell you the type of beef you were eating and about the herd. We had the 10 course degustation menu which was amazing, by far the best duck I have ever eaten. The price was expected and deserved for such creativity. I will be going back time and again!

I went for a dinner with seven other people. We were put beside a large group and it was impossible to have a conversation. We started with a bottle of wine and when the waitress poured the first glass, you could see that there was lipstick all around the rim. I pointed this out to her and she took the glass away and returned with a clean glass. Then it was hard for everybody to have some of the wine as we had lost a glass. Just a small thing but it did set the tone of the evening. We were all suprised by the size of the servings which were tiny, e.g. a serving of one prawn and the steak would make you laugh if you weren't hungry. I felt embarrassed by the amount of food offered. Some of the flavours were quite good but you only got a taste. It annoys me to go out and pay a large amount of money for practically nothing. But reading the other reviews I feel that I must be out of step with current expectations. The total cost for poor service and not much food in a noisy environment was over $600.
