Samanee is the best Thai restaurant around. The ambiance and the service are among its strongest points. Also, the food is not to be forgotten - it's great and always delicious.

I went there in a group of 8 on Friday night for the first time as we have heard a lot of good things about Samanee. We all had the entree and main individually and some desserts later. Everyone was very please with the quality, freshness and of couse, the authenticity of meals. They know how to balance heat, sour, salty and sweetness in each dish which is neglected in most Thai places. My entree of seared prawn Thai salad was superb (my lovely waitress favourite) and the seafood green curry was to dine for. First class presentation in coconut shell, subtle flavours and super fresh seafoods. We forgot to bring the grapes but the Mud House Sauvvy was just perfect and also the Phuket Sunrise cocktail was outstanding. The only concern is the car park as it is located a busy street with not much car space. However, we all agreed that this place is certainly worth a walk. One suggestion is to get there at 6.30 on the weekdays as the clear way finish at that time so you can park right in front of Samanee.
