I was born and bought up in thee UK and there we have outstanding Indian restaurants, however once I moved to Australia this became a problem. I visited numerous Indian restaurants and this was far the best. It's a drive from where we live, but I can tell you well worth it and value for money. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, in particular Pommies looking for a great curry.

Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi:- This has to be the worst Jalfrezi I have ever had. It was sweet. When the staff asked me how it was, when i was paying they told me they had used tomato sauce (ketchup). This is an absolute insult, espcially for the price I paid. I have eaten at various sitar takeaway/restaurants in the past and overall they lack punch and are all pretty much the same. I am sure that this is not how all the chefs at sitar make their meals and hope that this is just an isolated case.

I love curry and after moving from Birmingham in the UK to Australia, I thought I was doomed to eat bad curry until I found this place. Been going for five years now. Excellent food. Love it.

Sitar is awesome - great food, friendly service, and really good value for money (4 beers, 2 mains, 1 rice, 1 naan = $62). No doubt we'll be back. My only grudge (and I'm sorry to say this) is that it doesn't feel like completely authentic Indian food somehow - and I've eaten a lot of Indian food in my time. But that won't stop us from returning. Though the Sports TV in the corner spoils the ambience for those of us who don't like Aussies shouting at the TV while we're relaxing with our food.... :(
