ST George Underwater

Having taken the dive course many months ago we rented gear from here. We had an instructor from another dive center meet us at the dive spot and he commented on how atrocious the gear was. My fins had huge gouges on them that looked as if it was half torn in half, one of our masks was a yellow colour, and the respirator leaked air and that's only the half of it. Will never go back to that dive shop again for gear.

I can't comment on the actual dive and training as yet, however, I have a different review to the previous one on here. We also bought a deal voucher and we were quite difficult to deal with when it came to OUR availability for booking in. We can only go on a weekend - just like everyone else. After a bit of back and forth the people at St George Underwater worked with us even though all weekends were booked up. We didn't get the exact time of year that we wanted but we got a weekend which is what we needed. We were very happy with the communication and help. They were more than reasonable considering it was an online deal! Most other companies with online deals have the attitude of "tough luck!". Looking forward to our dive in March!

I bought a voucher for an open water dive certification course with St. George Underwater Centre over a year ago. They were so unresponsive to my calls and emails that I just couldn't manage to schedule a time to start the course. I've asked for a refund, but they are still unresponsive. I basically spent over $200 for a service I did not even receive. I probably won't get my money back, but I hope others will avoid a loss. Don't do business with St. George Underwater Centre!
