I would recommend Studio Verve to anyone who is looking for a fun and highly effective addition to or alternative to their current exercise regime. I started Pole fitness about 18 months ago and am surprised and delighted by my progress. I have learnt skills that I could not have imagined I would ever be able to perform. The teaching method is extremely effective and consistent across all instructors. The skills are taught gradually and each student is given personal attention during the class. The emphasis is on strengthening and conditioning the body in order to learn and perform skills. The instructors take care to accommodate individual needs and are encouraging, supportive and patient. I have found the experience very empowering and I look forward to my class each week.

The Studio Verve teachers make getting fit fun!! Pole dancing is an amazing way to get fit and acquire a skill that will certainly set you apart from the rest! The studio teachers are friendly, welcoming, amazing at pole dancing and most importantly, brilliant at teaching! I have come so far in the short time I have been there (just completed Level 2) and I cannot wait for what the next terms bring! Anyone who wants to get fit and have fun should give Studio Verve a call!!

In the two years I have been attending classes at Studio Verve, I can honestly say that there is nothing to fault about the studio! The instructors are extremely talented, friendly and encouraging, and the studio is nice and spacious with two studios and great poles. Aside from the normal levels of classes (which are spread throughout the week at convenient times) there are lyrical classes, core and conditioning classes, skills workshops and specialised workshops with visiting pole artists. If I have my way i'll never stop classes at Studio Verve! My only complaint is the studio isn't in my backyard so I could be there every day!

If you want to give pole dancing a try (and believe me you should!!!), then Studio Verve in Sydney is the best place to do it. Everyone is welcome here and as the studio is focused on fun and fitness bare feet, shorts and singlets are standard. The teachers are fantastic and teach with such passion and enthusiasm that you too will soon be on a pole every chance you get trying to perfect your moves and techniques. The students are amazingly friendly and always try to help out if they can. There is also a variety of classes so if you're trying to improve your flexibility (who doesn't want to do the splits), or strengthen that core so you can hold your body upside down with ease then there are weekly classes to complement your pole course. Not to mention workshops covering everything from handstands, inverts to acrobatics and guest workshops with international pole stars who will amaze with their own tricks and techniques. I could rave on about the studio so much more but the reality is you just have to go and try it out to find out why I love the place so much. I'm sure you will too!

If you're looking for a new way to keep fit, without the risk of growing bored, I would definitely recommend Studio Verve's pole classes. I have just rejoined classes after a year off travelling, and I forgot just how much I love it! You will see your strength develop and your body will tone up – all while having so much fun you won't even think about the fact you're exercising. It's a really safe and friendly environment, with great teachers and you work through everything in levels, never progressing before your skills are ready. Also I personally find it free of the judgment and competitiveness that can be found in some dance studios/gyms. Everyone is really supportive, there to learn and have a good time. Far from the images “pole dancing” seems to conjure in a lot of people's minds, Studio Verve is really dance and gymnastics based, all about the skills and strength. I can't give it enough praise, and if time and finances allowed, I'd be there every day. I definitely recommend grabbing a few friends and heading along to a taster class, if you're anything like me, you'll be hooked and signing up for more.
