I've stopped in here for a few quiet ones on the walk home. Good steaks and student friendly cost of drinks make it a great place. Right down the road from RPA is excellent

Very versatile bar if you're after a drink with friends or a night on the dance floor. Meals are very affordable, I recommend the $10 steak for a cheap night out. If you are after a big night out, Wednesday's is when the college kids flock to the 'Grose,' and first 50 recieve a free drink. DJ's are usually pretty good.

A solid bar for any night of the week, except Wednesday and Saturday during semester when college students descend. The drinks are cheap, the staff friendly and the atmosphere great, would recommend the $10 steak. A bit of a walk from Newtown station, but right near University of Sydney campus

The ATM didn't work and you can't pay for food by EFTPOS. The food came out amazingly fast and the steak was cooked exactly as I asked. Unfortunately the garlic sauce smelled like a sweaty armpit after a 3 week camping trip. I literally couldn't put it near my face without retching, and that's a big deal for me- I've eaten a urinal cake before.
