The Barracks Vet Surgery

Inez - These people really know and understand animals. This is a hands on vet, with loads of empathy for animals and sound commonsense. I find the staff cheerful and very helpful. I have waited a long time for a vet surgery like this and am so glad I found it (accidentally on a walk with my dog around this beautiful area).

First vet visit was the obvious over the top pleasant experience, and was content this would be a good vet for us. Sadly can not agree with previous comment about 'Great customer service', as have found the front desk a bit condescending and too sales focused and not customer focused (imho) in subsequent visits. To be clear I would recommend if pushed, but would not be surprised if there were better places around, as my experience has not been 5 star.

Dr. James Ross is on top of veterinary medicine and keeps up with the latest developments. He takes the time to diagnose. He is more of a scientist and thinks about cause and effect. (unlike many doctors who just memorize "facts") He is generally a good guy and and does not rush clients out the door. If you have an unusual case, Dr. Ross will take up the challenge to solve it. Great customer service, a rarity in Sydney.
