The Chalet Guesthouse and Studio

We had a wonderful stay at The Chalet. the room was divine - insanely clean - probably the cleanest place i've ever stayed in. unexpectedly, the room was serviced during our 2-night stay - we came back to find the bed made, coffee-plunger changed, clutter tidied etc-etc. often i have found that when we're staying a couple nights, esp in a B&B, the room is not cleaned until we leave...not here - how lovely it was to have the bed made and all the rest when we got back from our day of shopping and wandering through the woods. we had some great relaxing times in the dining room with the fire, some wine and books, and the christmas-lights (it was just after christmas-in-july time), with david popping in every now and then to stoke the fire and chat. all in all a great time and highly recommended
