We have made several purchases over the last couple of years and have always found the service and attention first rate. The other thing I love is that if you are looking for a gift, this is the place to go. Every age group is catered for and The French Corner will have a multitude of fantastic items to choose from. And everything is very well priced and any budget can be accommodated. Thank you French Corner for a great shopping experience. Keep up the great work!

Although the products they sell are very unique and beautiful, but I am not sure if I wanted to go again. The lady (I think she is the owner) is very rude and aggressive in manner. My friend and I was driven pass the street when visiting other friend, we were attracted by the stuff they put on the walkway, so I parked my car and went into the store. The first stuff we saw was an old man doing some maintenance on a table outside the store; he is very nice and smiling guy when we meet him and asking him questions about the shop. The second staff we meet was a lovely lady, she always smile and friendly asked us if we need any assistance. HOWEVER! When we went to the counter and get ready for the payment for about $400, I asked the third staff (I think she is the owner) very politely if she can offer me some discount. And I couldn't believe what I heard from what she said to me. She said “we sell our things at the reasonable price, and I would be feeling embarrassed if I asked this question.” I really feel upset for her reply; she just said into my face that I am ashamed to ask for discount, indirectly. Not talking the fact that the prices for few items I bought are a bit overpriced. Other than this, there are two more other things that really made me feel very upset. Before we made the payment, there is a necklace that I want to buy but it has got a small stain on it, so I was asking if they have another one. The smiling and nice staff lady serving me couldn't find it so she asked the owner if she knows if they got any left. Before the owner starts to look around, the first reaction she has was saying “well it's only $30”. I am like…. Isn't $30 is not worth anything? For an uni student like me need to work for 2-3 hours to have this money, what's wrong with want to buy a $30 necklace without a stain on it? Last thing was after the payment, my friend paid for the stuff we bought together. Since there is no receipt so I use my photo to take the photo on the calculation that the owner did on the paper. The owner saw this and her reaction was saying 'oh dear… why don't you just do the calculation now' the way she expressed herself was saying I did something embarrassed AGAIN. But the reason I took the photo is not like what she think, I replied her “I am taking photo because I will pay my friend back okay?” Then I just walk out to the door without saying anymore words. Before we get into our can, the owner walked out and gave an earrings to my friend and said we could have it as for the discount, no more other words. I am guessing she might discover herself was being very rude for customer and want to do something about it. But since she didn't offer an apologies or said something like that, I am just guesting. I was very excited when I discover the store, because I lived at south Brisbane and if I didn't inviting my uni friend doing the project, I wouldn't know this shop at all. But since all these unhappiest happen, I am not to sure if I will want to visiting the store again.

It does take quite a while to browse the store because every corner is stocked with something. I can't really define everything they sell because it is pretty unique. It has every conceivable kind of gift and homewares and has furniture (we bought a bookcase) as well.
