Love this hole in a wall little cafe. The coffee is great, the pastries are amazing. Other things on the menu also looked great. It's on a quiet suburban street in Annandale and when you step inside you feel like you are taken to another place, to another era. It's a fab place to hang out for a few hours during the weekdays. Love it.

Not a very big cafe but worth going to. Not much variety for food but has good coffee and very interesting interiors (look out for the hidden room behind the bookcase). Great place to hang out and talk with friends, really comfy seats with a nice vibe. Easy to find and parking out the front is east to get to. Food and drink are reasonably priced.

Awesome spot for a coffee and a pastry! The interior decor is amazing, like an old book shop with hidden doors and high backed leather chairs, and if you're lucky, you can snag a seat looking out of the huge picture window... The coffee is their own Little Marrionette roast, so you know it's good. The provisions are Black Star, I recommend the lamb shank pie, it's amazing. The people running the shop are awesome and there are a lot of them, so the wait is never long which isn't always true here in Sydney. Best place in Annandale for a coffee!

Coffee: Little Marionette Passion: 10/10. Crema: 10/10 (Top 10 in Sydney) Love this place. Love the vibe. Love the passion for coffee. As a cafe it provides an awesome atmosphere to sample new coffees straight from their roaster (now in St Peters), and as an incubator for coffee talent in Sydney, it works wonders. There are so many staff who "graduate" from this cafe to open their own, it is like a side business. :-) Today I started with a Colombian (Ginza) single origin and the citrus whack was like a hit of wasabi. It came, developed and then disappeared. A gorgeously smooth and warm coffee with a great finish. #nomnomnom. Then I had to try their Indonesian (Kuda Mas) had me puckering up like I had a shot of limoncello. Yet, given a moment, the flavour mellowed out and left a robust warm flavour. Starting with the Honduras espresso I had at Coffee Alchemy, and then the Colombian, and now this, the citrus has been ramped up and up and up. Might new to chew on a lemon next just to finish of the journey. :-) Very enjoyable coffee experience as always. N.B. Single origin coffees available. Cold drip coffee available. No public WiFi available. No #powerwhoring available

I had such a lovely time here, at the Marionette - I just couldn't leave it unappreciated. I was here with a friend and we got the most polite waitress in the world. She was nice and friendly but not too nosy - she is a real keeper. Also, the breakfast we had was amazing and there's really nothing to complain about.
