The Pet Centre, Broadway Shopping Centre/1 Bay Street, Broadway

Not very helpful in regards to pet care. They were quite expensive and did not even check how I was transporting the pet home. I live a fair way away and wanted to know how long the seasnail could remain in the bag during transport and no information was provided at all. Made me a little concerned about their care for animals.

We went to Pets On Broadway to start an aquarium. The staff were obviously not in at all confident in giving us advice about their products as after much deliberation and back and forth between the attendants we went home with an aquarium that was missing parts, a wooden log that turned the water in the tank the color of rank coffee and a plant that was dead two days later. When we returned to set things right, we were met with non-chalance and continued uncertainty regarding the tank and when we asked to swap the wood it was quite evident that the shop assistant knew full well that the discoloration would occur when we purchased it and so now offered us a log that had already been in water which was smaller than the one we were returning but for a higher price, i.e a ten dollar difference. We decided to get a terracotta pot instead only to be charged an additional ten for that by our disgruntled assistant, who also assumed we would be back to buy fish in a week... no chance!
