The Pot Food & Wine

There is wonderful food and wine at The Pot. We began with the Pot Beef tartare and then tried almost everything else. At $65 for the tasting menu, it is a bargain and the passion that emanates from the owner is infectious as he goes from table to table serving wine and mingling. Small but convivial - it's a cracking little restaurant.

Why would you work in hospitality is you seem to hate it as much as our waiter did, it's fine you don't do BYO but there is no need to arrogant and rude about it! I would have preferred to be served by a vending machine rather than our waiter who indecently appeared to be the manager. The only good point was we could see the funny side off thing as side of his performance as did the tables around us.

Nice ambience, competent, friendly service, decent wine. Unfortunately the most important aspect of the dining experience, the food, was lacking. Occasionally the creations looked interesting on paper but were ultimately bland and uninspiring. Spend your hard earned elsewhere.
